Our house was originally built on Queen Street Roma. When we bought our block we had the options of building a house on the block, putting a transportable on the site or moving a house onto the site. As we love our house we decided to move her onto the block.

What an experience! We didn't have to move anything out of the house we moved ornaments and anything that could topple over.

Part of the roof was removed so that it would fit under power lines. the house was cut in half.

Then on the back of two Mack trucks she was transported the 11 kilometers to the new site.

It's amazing that the drivers were so good that they lined the two halves up within centimeters. With a big hammer and a bit of a push she was back together again.

Two weeks later a freak storm came through and ripped our beautiful house apart. Nine months later and a lot of insurance money plus the talents of good builders she was back together.

Slowly we started to get the garden built and planted out. Lots of experimenting with plants and many failures. There is still a long way to go, but we enjoy the work.

Unfortunately this is a view we don't experience enough due to our dry weather conditions.
