We have six cats:
Iseult was handed in to the vets a few years ago, where we happened to be, the day before Christmas. So of course she had her first Christmas at Sandalwood. One evening she came in with a crushed paw. The vets were unable to save the paw as it was too damaged. She is now a three legged cat, who gets around as fast as a four legged cat. Iseult does not see herself as being disabled.
Dixie appeared in the shed one morning, until we managed to catch her we called her Digby as she is ginger (and we thought all ginger cats were males). As soon as we caught her we realized we had to come up with a similar sounding name! We have no idea where she came from, we assumed the angels brought her, so she is often called Dixie Angel.. She was about two months old when she came to Sandalwood.
Eva was advertised on Facebook as requiring a home. She is very loving but spends her time outside or in the sheds. One morning she made the mistake of climbing under the bonnet of the ute just before Steve set off for work. She lost a lot of fur and skin and part of an ear. She looks great now and if she could talk would have an amazing story to tell.
The kittens, also known as the gremlins, or staffy cats came to Sandalwood when they were two weeks old, they had been abandoned. We bottle fed them, and they were mothered by Lola and Chana. We initially called them Stripey, Fluffy, and Spotty Tum until we figured out what sex they were. They are now called Rascal, Florence, and Albert. They are now three years old.
